Jade Woman Qigong

Maui, Hawaii: June 20, 2008, 9:30am — 5pm

Jade Woman Qigong is a superior method of healing that addresses the special needs of a woman's body.  The phases of a woman's life require a plentiful supply of blood to assure normal gynecological function.
Because of these needs, Qigong forms designed for women have a focus that is different from traditional forms. The form is named Jade Woman because Jade is a highly prized precious stone that, since ancient times, has been regarded as a symbol of yin (female) energy.  This beautiful and effective form of Qigong was taught to Instructor Caryn Boyd Diel, by Master Liu He.  Jade Woman Qigong was taught to Master Liu He by her grandfather when she was a young girl growing up in China.

Dream Practice

Santa Fe: Wednesdays, 5:30 — 8:30pm, April 18 — May 23, 2007
9:30am — 5pm

Each night as we fall asleep the focus of our consciousness gradually shifts from the dense frequencies of the physical dimension towards the high frequencies of the subtle bodies. This process we all experience on a daily basis opens a gate toward infinite possibilities. The ancient Taoists learned to utilize dream state as a training ground for learning to focus the will and the intention.

The practices introduced in this class go beyond dream interpretation or lucid dreaming, aiming at enhancing self-awareness and clarity within dream state as well as learning how to sleep more efficiently. A key element in this course is learning how to empower the intention and how to project it at the right timing to help us realize our goals with greater efficiency.

Everything that is learned in the dream yogas applies toward the process of transcendence at the moment of death. The skills developed through the dream practices are an essential step for realizing our full human potential and living a life free from insecurity and fear.

Introduction to Sacred Geometry: The Solsticial Square & Mandala Drawing with Ferran Blasco (Enzo)

Santa Fe: TBA

The Traditional Science of different cultures developed Sacred Geometry as a mean of reflecting on Earth the harmonies that human beings intuit govern the universe. One of its main purposes was to adapt to the world those cosmic rhythms that reflect perfection to enhance all aspects of life. This hands-on workshop focuses on the concept of medieval mandala as a blueprint for conception and harmonization of spaces and forms. Among other things, participants will be introduced to the techniques used by ancient Master Builders to conceive structures as alchemical machines and learn examples of famous temples and sites where these techniques were used. They will also learn to create and use sets of measurements and proportions for specific latitudes. Besides learning how to conceive and draw a Solsticial Square and a Medieval Mandala, participants will have a chance to experience these outdoors in the practical part of the weekend.

Shamanic Tiger Qigong

Santa Fe: TBA

The Tiger is the symbol of vital energy and Zheng Qi (Righteous Qi) in traditional Chinese culture. It is the spiritual animal of the Western Direction and is related to the Queen Mother of the West (Xi Wang Mu). (To this day, some people hang the image of the Tiger in their homes to protect the family.) From a classical Chinese medicine perspective, one will never get sick if one can maintain Zheng Qi in the body. Physically, Zheng Qi is represented most strongly by the lung, which prevents evil Qi from invading the body. Evil Qi includes all factors (i.e. emotions, food, weather, trauma, etc) that may cause illness. This relationship between Zheng Qi and the Tiger explains why the spiritual animal associated with the lung is the Tiger.

The Tiger form is based on the symbolic power. The essence of Chinese Shamanism, it has both medical and martial arts implications. The Tiger form movements imitate the actions of the tiger and increase the harmonizing Qi of the whole body by strengthening the lung Qi , which governs and energizes all meridians of the body. Through regular practice, the Tiger form will tonify one's Zheng Qi, thereby releasing and protecting the body from evil Qi.

The entire workshop will be conducted in the tradition of special shamanic Qigong in which a lineage-based Qi field is created and held to give participants an enhanced experience of Qigong .

This workshop will help students learn:
•  Fundamentals of Qigong healing philosophy
•  Symbolic meaning of tiger
•  Chinese shamanic Tiger Qigong form
•  How to harness and control their own internal Qi Shamanic spiritual cultivation

Jade Woman Qigong

Maui: June 20

Jade Woman Qigong is a superior method of healing that addresses the special needs of a woman's body. The phases of a woman's life require a plentiful supply of blood to assure normal gynecological function. Because of these needs, Qigong forms designed for women have a focus that is different from traditional forms.

This beautiful and effective form of Qigong was taught to Instructor Caryn Boyd Diel, by Master Liu He. Jade Woman Qigong was created for and taught to Master Liu He by her grandfather when she was a young girl growing up in China.

Well Breast Massage Education and Information Night

Santa Fe: Monthly, call for dates, 6:30 — 8:30pm

Breast Health is total body health. Learn how to prevent illness and heal from existing symptoms. Well Breast Massage is a self help technique which promotes circulation and drainage of lymph in breast tissues, thereby ridding the body of the accumulation of toxins which cause painful cysts and eventually disease. With the increase in all types of breast disease, we desire to offer this program of education and self care to all women in the hopes that they feel empowered to care for themselves and experience a reduction in unnecessary medical procedures.

In our work with students and clients, we continue to find support for a hypothesis that women who are willing to take classes and practice Well Breast Massage have an attitude which is open to furthering their knowledge of breast health and prevention tactics. We would like to further our exploration of this hypothesis through a 15 year longitudinal study of women, of various ages and health statuses, who practice Well Breast Massage.

This study is unique in that we will collect information on a wide range of women of all ages, both locally and nationally, to observe the effects of self-empowered breast health care. Our question is this: How does Well Breast Massage affect breast health, contribute to the prevention of disease, and the success of healing after disease and surgery?

Instructor Caryn Boyd Diel will teach you how to do a Well Breast Massage and explain how to become part of this cutting edge longitudinal study. To register, call 505-471-9330 or email whitecloudnm@aol.com

Well Breast Massage Techniques for Licensed Massage Therapists

Santa Fe: January 16, 2008, 4pm — 8pm
Santa Fe: July 12, 2008, 9am — 11am

Well Breast Massage is a technique that promotes circulation and drainage of lymph in breast tissues, thereby ridding the body of the accumulation of toxins which cause painful cysts and eventually disease. This class is taught from the context of a 15-year longitudinal study that is collecting information on a wide range of women of all ages, both locally and nationally, to observe the effects of selfempowered breast health care. Our question is this: How does Well Breast Massage affect breast health, contribute to the prevention of disease, and aid in healing after disease and surgery?

Although generally taught as a self-help technique, many women would rather receive regular Well Breast Massages from a licensed massage therapist than perform the massage themselves. In our work, we find support for a hypothesis that women who are willing to take classes and practice/receive Well Breast Massage have an attitude which is open to enhancing their knowledge of breast health and prevention tactics. After this training, you will be in a position to perform Well Breast Massage on clients, educate women about the benefits and techniques of Well Breast Massage, and be an integral part of the Well Breast Massage research by encouraging women to join the study.

Crystals and Chakras

Santa Fe: Jan 13, 2008, 9:30 — 5pm

The laying on of Sacred Stones and Crystals is an ancient art. This powerful and beautiful healing art is being offered as a one day introduction to the healing properties of stones and crystals.

The beauty of Crystals and Sacred Stones affects healing and overall balance by imprinting delicate frequencies into the human energy field.

In this one day class you will be instructed in how to use a pendulum to evaluate the health and energy flow in each of the chakras, and to then place crystals and stones to bring clarity and healing.

Some crystals and stones will be available to purchase in class, but please bring what you have to use. There will also be pendulums and some books available.
